What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored by a web site on your computer to keep track of information about your browsing on that site. Cookies are used for authenticating, tracking, and maintaining specific information about users, such as site preferences and the contents of their electronic shopping carts. There are two types of cookies, one type which is stored permanently on your computer and one which is used during your visit to the web site. You can deny a web site to set cookies via the settings in your web browser.
